About Us
Holton-le-Clay Garage and Jim Allen Motorcycles is owned
and run by Jim and Liz Allen. The Garage was established in
the 1920's to serve the small community of Holton-le-Clay.
We bought the Garage in 1990 after several years of working for the previous owner. We have always been interested in vintage motorcycles and cars and through the hobby, Jim Allen Motorcycles was formed within Holton-le-Clay Garage.
We have been members of the Vintage Motorcycle Club for some 20 plus years, some of which have seen active service on the local committee. We are also members of the Royal Enfield Owners Club.
In 1994 Jim rode from John o Groats to Lands End in 23 hours 52 minutes, only stopping for fuel breaks to raise funds for Motor Neurone Disease, riding his 1935 Norton ES2.
Jim is a sidecar enthusiast, one of his outfits (A Royal Enfield Model K and Noxal sidecar) was featured in Classic Motorcycle and in the Christmas edition of the Vintage Motorcycle Club journal.
We are committed to offering a first class service for repairs and maintenance of all Classic and Vintage bikes.
